The School of Business Sichuan Normal University is one of the earliest institutions of higher education in Sichuan Province to offer management majors. It is the first member of the International Coalition of Finance and Economics Talents Training in Chinese Universities. It is the vice-chairman of the Coalition of Business Schools of National Normal University (School of Economics and Management) and the first batch of the former National Economic and Trade Commission. It is practical contracting unit of the first batch of "Training College for Leading Cadres of Large State-owned Enterprises in Business Administration" approved by the former State Economic and Trade Commission and the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. It is the state-level "professional manager certification training" organizing unit. For a long time, the School of Business has made remarkable achievements in personnel training, scientific research, social services, cultural heritage, etc., accumulated abundant experience, and cultivated excellent faculty.

The School is also the first implementation unit of "Overseas Master's Direction Project" determined by the British Accredited Accountants Association (ACCA) and the British University Confederation (NCUK). It is a collaboration between the "3+1+1" undergraduate degree program of the University of California Riverside and the Master of International Accounting (MIA) program of the School of Accounting of the University of Deacon, Australia. It is one of the more than 20 institutions of higher learning in the early period of the whole country organized the formed class of "Chartered Certified Public Accountants (ACCA, UK)". The above cooperative projects provide high quality and convenient channels for students to exchange abroad, to further their studies abroad, and to take the International Accounting Professional Qualification Certificate Examination.

The major of financial management is "the pilot specialty of comprehensive reform of undergraduate talent cultivation in Sichuan Province", and the major of auditing is "the pilot specialty of comprehensive reform of undergraduate talent cultivation in Sichuan Normal University". Five majors including financial management, accounting (including ACCA), auditing, marketing and industrial engineering recruited in the first batch of undergraduates. The School also recruits and trains academic postgraduates in accounting, business management, MPAcc, MAud and MBA. At present, there are more than 2400 postgraduates and undergraduates. The scale of running school ranks first among the colleges and schools of Sichuan Normal University.

The School consists of Financial Management Department, Accounting Department, Auditing Department, Marketing Department, Industrial Engineering Department, Finance Department, Professional Degree Education Center, Graduate Teaching and Research Department, ACCA (International Accounting) Project Office and Management Experiment Training Center, which form a complete system, excellent faculty and mutually supportive disciplines Platform.

The Schools has actively explored and continuously promoted the mode of internationalization of business education. It has set up international cooperation platforms with many foreign institutions and famous universities. The School has been working for a long time to strengthen students' comprehensive quality, practical ability and open vision, and to cultivate applied, compound and internationalized business management talents to meet the needs of economic globalization. It has carried out all-round and systematic practice and innovation in many aspects, such as educational concept, training plan, curriculum system, theoretical foundation, professional thinking, practical skills, team spirit, comprehensive accomplishment and competitive consciousness.

The School has a team of teachers with outstanding scientific research ability, rich teaching experience, solid theoretical foundation, mastery of enterprise management, proficiency in local practice, and familiarity with international operations. There are 84 full-time teachers in the School, of which 45 are professors or associate professors, and most of them have doctoral degrees. In addition, the School also employs a number of well-known scholars, outstanding entrepreneurs and foreign experts as visiting professors, striving to expand the academic level, practical experience and international horizons of teachers and students.

In recent years, many faculty members have been selected on the list of "Global High-cited Scientists", "China High-cited Scientists", "Sichuan Thousand-Person Plan", "Sichuan Special Experts", "Sichuan Academic and Technological Leaders", "Sichuan Academic and Technological Leaders Reserve Candidates". Dozens of teachers have been awarded "Famous Teachers", Reserve Candidates for Famous Teachers, Model Workers, Teachers' Moral Pacesetters, Teachers' Moral Advanced Individuals, Modern Teachers, Modern Up-and-coming Teachers, Top-ten Counselors, Top-ten Scientific Researchers, Shishan Scholars, Outstanding Young Scholars of Shishan Scholars, and so on. Eight teachers have been successively selected into "251 Key Talents Training Project" of SICNU.

The School has a strong academic research atmosphere and the teachers have made fruitful achievements. They have successively undertaken 11 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation, more than 20 projects of the Ministry of Education on Humanities and social sciences, nearly 30 projects of the Sichuan Philosophy and Social Sciences Research Project and the Sichuan Science and Technology Department, and 50 other vertical and horizontal research projects. Teachers have won more than 10 awards, such as Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award, Sichuan Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award and Excellent Achievements Award of Higher Education in Sichuan Provincial Education Department. They have published more than 40 monographs and textbooks in state-level publishing houses, and published more than 400 papers in various authoritative journals at home and abroad, as well as domestic core journals.

Through long-term experience, hard work, constantly consolidating the foundation and enhancing the strength, the School has now entered a comprehensive and rapid development channel. All aspects of work have been fully recognized and unanimously praised by SICNU. The Party Committee of the School has been awarded "Excellent Grass-roots Party Committee" and "Advanced Grass-roots Party Organization" for many times. The leading group of the School has been awarded "Advanced Middle-level Leadership Group" for many times. The School has been awarded "Advanced Collective of Scientific Research Work", "Advanced Collective of Teaching Management", "Advanced Collective of Student Work", "Excellent Subcommittee of Youth League" and " Advanced Collective in Employment" for many times.

The School actively establishes strategic partnerships with government departments, scientific research institutes, industrial and commercial enterprises, financial institutions and university students' science and technology incubator parks to build a wide range of practical training bases and employment and entrepreneurship platforms for students. It has successively cooperated with Chengdu Audit Bureau, Sichuan CPA Association, Sichuan Statistical Bureau, Dongfang Electric Group Co. Ltd., Qingdao Beer Co. Ltd., Sichuan Air Separation Equipment Group Co. Ltd., Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Bank of China, Taikang Insurance Group Co. Ltd., Guotai Junan Securities Co. Ltd, Haitong Securities Company, Sichuan and Hong Kong Financial Experimental Center and more than 30 accounting firms to have jointly built practice bases. In addition, the School also has a large number of information-based teaching resources, professional laboratories, paper books and periodicals, electronic reading room, application software, which provide convenient conditions for teachers' teaching, scientific and teaching research.

Over the past 40 years, the School has trained nearly 10,000 graduates of general management majors and thousands of senior and middle-level leading cadres of enterprises and institutions at all levels. Every year, a considerable number and proportion of undergraduate graduates are enrolled for their further study by famous universities in Britain, the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore and Chinese Hong Kong. Successive graduates have shown strong competitiveness in high-end employment. Some graduates have been recruited by the four international accounting firms (KPMG, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Price Water House Coopers), and many multinational companies, large domestic listed companies, etc. Graduates and trained cadres have long been favored and used by employers and enterprises because of their strong professional ability and strong development potential. Many of them have taken up leadership positions at all levels, some of them have become leaders of state ministries and commissions, some of them are leaders of large enterprise groups and listed companies, and more of them have grown rapidly into backbone of various enterprises.
