    On the morning of December 2, the opening ceremony of the academic thesis writing training course of "Chinese Educational Elite" of the World Chinese Language Teaching Society was held in the Academic Lecture Hall of Shizishan Campus of our university. Yuan Li, Director of the Secretariat of the World Chinese Language Teaching Association, Zhao Yang, Doctoral Tutor of Beijing University and Dean of the College of Chinese as a Foreign Language Education,Jiang Liping, Professor, Doctoral Tutor of Beijing Language University and Deputy Director of the International Chinese Language Teaching and Research Base, Wang Mingyi, President of Sichuan Normal University, Zhang Haidong, Standing Committee of the Party Committeeand Vice-President of Sichuan Normal University, Tang Hong, Liu Haiyan, Vice Dean of International Education College of Sichuan Normal University; and experts and training teachers from all over the country attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Tang Hong.

    In his speech, Wang Mingyi pointed out that in the new era, Sichuan Normal University has established the "24356" school-running ideology, making it clear that the school should have “two visions” in mind and “four missions”. He said that since its establishment, the World Society for Chinese Language Teaching has been actively organizing and participating in Chinese language teaching, research and promotion, aiming at promoting international Chinese language teaching, research and promotion, strengthening links between Chinese language teaching and research workers and institutions around the world, and promoting mutual understanding and friendship among people of all countries. Technical activities, vigorously promote international Chinese teaching exchanges and cooperation, to provide guidance and services for international Chinese education. He emphasized that the training of “Chinese educationalelite” in academic thesis writing aims to help young teachers and students improve their Chinese teaching and academic research abilities, share information and academic achievements on the frontier of international Chinese teaching, discuss the topic selection, research methods and writing norms, and share publications at home and abroad. With the joint efforts of experts and scholars, this training course will surely bear fruitful results and contribute to the promotion of world Chinese teaching and the international promotion of national Chinese language.

    In his speech, Yuan Li expressed his gratitude to all the parties concerned who contributed to the opening training of the “Chinese elite” academic thesis writing training course. He said that the world Chinese teaching is the common cause of all people. In recent years, the Council of the World Chinese Teaching Association and members of various countries have been adhering to the working concept of the board of directors and member meetings, uniting Chinese teachers and experts and scholars from all countries, and constantly striving to build an academic exchange platform for Chinese teaching. He said that the construction of a community of human destiny is an important responsibility of the World Association of Chinese Education in the new era. The Society will work with all parties to train a high-quality and high-level professional backbone teachers in the field of Chinese international education, develop a number of new generation of Chinese textbooks with connotation and interest, and launch and promote them. Simple and practical Chinese teaching method is to meet the needs of people all over the world to learn Chinese, to promote the understanding of the Chinese people and the people of the world, and to contribute to the development of multiculturalism.

    After the opening ceremony, all the teachers and students who attended the opening ceremony took pictures on campus. Subsequently, the Symposium on Chinese Language Promotion of the State Office of Chinese Language was held in the Conference Room on the 4th floor of A District ofthe 7th Teaching Building of Shizishan Campus, Sichuan Normal University. Yuan Li, Director of the Secretariat of the World Chinese Language Teaching Association of Hanban, Wang Mingyi, President of Sichuan Normal University, Zhang Haidong, Vice-President of Sichuan Normal University, Jiang Liping, Professor of Beijing Language University, Wang Chuan, Director of Scientific Research Office; Huang Guiping, Deputy-Director of Foreign Affairs Office,Zheng Xiuqing, Deputy Director of the Teaching Affairs Office,Wang Yangang, Vice Dean of the School of Chinese Language and Literature,Tang Hong, Liu Haiyan, Vice-Dean of the College of International Education, and Li Fang, Wang Yuan and Zhao Qiuyang, teachers of the College of International Education attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Haidong.

    Wang Mingyi said at the meeting that Sichuan Normal University, through the platform of Confucius Institute, is closely linked with Yonsei University in South Korea and Karachi University in Pakistan to build a "SKY" alliance and jointly promote the process of realizing the great cause of the community of human destiny. He said that in today's society, universities should pay more attention to internationalization, view Chinese International Education from the perspective of building a community of human destiny, and bring the perspective of research into a broader and higher perspective.

    On behalf of the World Society of Chinese Language Teaching, Yuan Li sent a written thank-you letter to Sichuan Normal University, presenting a compilation of the 10th International Chinese Language Education Seminar demonstration course to all teachers and students of the Chinese International Education Institute as a souvenir. He hoped to gain experience through the exchange with the experts, so as to do a better job in the future related to international Chinese education.

    Participants and teachers discussed the current situation and development of international Chinese education, focusing on the promotion of Bashu culture, the renewal of textbooks, the deepening and long-term learning of foreign students’ language, and how to define sinologists.

   Zhang Haidong pointed out that we should strengthen the dissemination of modern Chinese culture among foreign students, promote their understanding of modern Chinese features and achievements, and learn Chinese culture more comprehensively. We should build an international exchange platform, an academic platform and a training platform in Sichuan Normal University through the World Chinese Teaching Association to help our Chinese-speaking country. We should strengthen the construction of textbooks and enrich professional textbooks in various fields.

    In her speech, Jiang Liping pointed out that front-line teachers should accumulate more teaching experience and take it as the basis of academic research.Research in teaching should be guided by scientific research and combine bottom-up with top-down; the vision of education should be broadened and internationalization should be taken as the research direction. It is necessary to establish a resource bank of Bashu culture for foreigners in the light of reality

    The heads of the university's functional departments and some teachers of Chinese international education specialty also offer suggestions on relevant issues.
